This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA). When accessing the website, the hosting provider automatically stores connection data (incl. IP address, date/time, requested URL) in server log files. This is done on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). Further information: Netlify privacy policy and data processing agreement. Netlify states that its data processing agreement forms part of its contractual terms.

showmybike.eu uses Plausible Analytics, operated by Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia, for privacy-friendly usage statistics. Plausible does not use cookies or persistent visitor identifiers. Its servers receive an IP address and browser information with each request. According to Plausible, these are used to derive a daily identifier with a rotating salt; the raw IP address and user agent are not stored. Reports contain aggregated statistics such as page views, referrers and country. According to Plausible, visitor data is processed and stored exclusively in the EU, with its main analytics servers in Germany and no visitor-data transfers outside the EU. This provider statement concerns Plausible Analytics, not the other services listed on this page. The salts used to generate daily identifiers are deleted every 24 hours. Your Shortlist, fit answers, bike selection, comparison and Explorer choices are kept in session storage for the current visit in this browser tab. We do not set cookies or write these choices to persistent local storage. The saved Shortlist stays in your browser. Choices remain available when you move between pages or reload a page. Closing the tab normally ends the session; browsers may restore a previous tab session. When you next use the site after two hours of inactivity, we discard the saved visit and start fresh. Separate tabs have separate sessions; duplicating a tab may initially copy its choices.

This storage connects the selection, comparison and recommendation functions you request during your visit. For storage required to provide these functions, the applicable provision is § 25 para. 2 no. 2 TDDDG. Where personal data is processed to provide these functions, the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in providing the requested wheelset selection tools). To calculate recommendations, your riding preferences, selected wheelsets, budget and setup requirements are sent to our scoring service hosted on Netlify.

You can delete saved browser choices at any time with "Clear all & start fresh" in the footer. Old Show My Bike choices from persistent local storage are removed when a page is opened. Clearing or ending this browser session does not delete separately collected usage statistics or hosting logs.

To understand which wheelsets and features are used and improve the selection tools, we also collect product usage statistics. In addition to Plausible, interactions such as viewing or saving a product, displaying fit results, comparing wheelsets and generating an image for download are sent to a Netlify endpoint and stored in a Turso database. These records include the action, page path, time, selected product models or comparison combinations and the relevant flow step. For anonymous usage statistics we also store the approximate country, derived from the IP address. We do not store the IP address itself. Test-site events are labelled separately. The event database does not store IP addresses, user agents, complete page URLs, uploaded images, persistent visitor identifiers or a copy of your saved shortlist. Requests to the Netlify endpoint still involve the technical connection data described under hosting. We use action counts to understand product interest and improve the tools; these counts are not individual visitor histories. Bike frame and wheelset images and other photos on this site are loaded from BunnyCDN (BunnyWay d.o.o., Dunajska cesta 165, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia). When images are loaded, your IP address, browser information and the address of the referring page are transmitted to BunnyWay's servers. Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in fast and reliable image delivery). Further information: bunny.net/privacy

The Inter and Montserrat fonts are hosted with this website. Loading these fonts does not require a request to Google Fonts.
